Rusting and De-contamination of metal surfaces

Rust removing on Ferrous and Non-Ferrous material is made easy now. When we remove rust on sensitive material using traditional way, there is deterioration of corrosion resistance in SS or loss of parent metal thickness.

DevaPS has a special Rust remover which is free from such deficiencies – no loss of parent metal and no deterioration of material properties.  DevaPS preservatives used in Rust removal process also prevent flash rust. The parts will be kept in rust free condition for days due to the presence of Advanced Dev VCI solution in the neutraliser.

Recently we completed Rust removal from SS piping and SS Vessels over a very large surface area of around 8000sq.m very successfully, using DevaPS rust removal solutions. This was done on an FLNG platform assuring the continued operational quality of the high-value asset. Sample photographs of before and after conditions are shown below. This feat was achieved without removing the Chromium oxide layer, ensuring the high level of corrosion resistance at the offshore environment.

“Dev Rust remover” is capable of CS rust removal, SS de-contamination and Non-ferrous oxides removal for restoring the original condition of the parent metal.

Another successful project by DevaPS – this time in Korea, under trying conditions like high wind velocity, at high elevation exposed to elements and working from the suspended platform!

DevaPS successfully carried out the rust removal and longtime preservation of the NOV risers under such conditions. These were new riser pipes that had corroded due to inadequate preservation during the project phase on board the drilling rigs.

DevaPS used high-pressure hydro-blasting to remove the rust successfully from various riser pipes on various rigs. Later, these pipes were internally sprayed with Dev VCI WS 25 and the ends were sealed with original end covers.

The Dev VCI WS 25 is a proven solution to keep the internals rust-free for many years with just one-time application. The risers that are preserved by this vapour-based Dev VCI WS 25 solution, will be in good and rust-free condition whenever the risers are put into operation.
